Turning now to Grades and Pupil Performance

I am glad to report there was continued success both at GCSE and Post 16!
Year 12 Pupils, their Teachers and Parents, can be justly proud of their GCSE achievements this

summer. 75% of students achieved a minimum of 5 grades in the A* – C range, with 50% achieving
a minimum of 7 grades A*- C. Over half of the cohort of pupils achieved a minimum of 5 grades

A*-C including both English & Maths. There were outstanding A* – C passes in subjects such as
Art, Agriculture, Construction, Community Sport, BTEC Sport, Food and Nutrition, Business

Communication Systems, Child Development, Digital Technology, Double Award Science,
Geography, Prince’s Trust, Music and Drama. This success was further reflected in more

traditional subjects such as English & English Literature, Maths, Engineering, History and RE.
Results were achieved in a full range of general and applied courses providing pupils with a wide

range of options for their future pathways. In a year where results are ‘levelling up’ over 45
students achieved at least 2 A*- A grades.

Congratulations to top performers with A*/A/B grades: Caleb Ford, RJ Getty, Craig Graham, Simon
Hall, Jorja Hanna, Lindsay McCombe and Casian Vlad. Those pupils with A*-C grades: Thomas

which deserve special credit, and it is also encouraging to note that the majority of all students
