Spanish Poster Design Competition - The poster competition provided pupils with the opportunity to
showcase their artistic talents while promoting positive messages related to school values and
events. Entries were vibrant, thought-provoking, and reflected a high level of creativity, all in Spanish.
Winning designs were displayed around the school and contributed to house points. Chloe
Stephenson, Naomi Little, Harry Royston, Leah Bleakley, Joni Getty, Deni Mills and Joy Davison should
all be proud of their winning posters.
Maths Beat the Clock - In Year 8, Pinegrove were placed 1st, with Harberton in 2nd and Rathmore
3rd. In year 9, Harberton and Pinegrove secured all the points however Rathmore scored well in the
Year 10 competition with Harberton finishing second and Ballyloughan taking 3rd.
In addition to the organised competitions, points were awarded throughout the year for individual
merits, recognising academic effort, good behaviour, kindness, and contributions to school life. These
points played a crucial role in the final house standings.
Every single pupil contributed to their house’s overall points total, whether through participation in
competitions, earning merits, or showing consistent effort and enthusiasm throughout the year. This
collective spirit exemplifies the core values of our school community—collaboration, respect, and
excellence.
In conclusion, the 2024–2025 House Competitions have been a resounding success. They not only
encouraged participation and friendly rivalry but also fostered a strong sense of belonging and pride
within each house. We congratulate all pupils for their contributions and look forward to even more
exciting events next year. The final points are as follows:
