Year 11: A Year of Growth and Success
Learning: This year marked the beginning of our GCSE journey, and Year 11s embraced it with
enthusiasm. We explored new subjects and developed valuable skills to help us prepare for the
future. We're proud of the fantastic results and impressive work produced throughout the year.
Connect: We continued our tradition of collecting silver coins on Fridays to support our guide dog,
Theo. Thanks to our ongoing efforts, Theo is now actively guiding someone in need. We also enjoyed
a peaceful lunchtime atmosphere with Open Space every other week, providing a space for
relaxation and reflection.
Opportunities: We had the chance to improve our ICT and crafting skills, even creating some fun
bubble hats. The Personal Economics programme equipped us with valuable money management
skills for life. This year also saw more Year 11s participating in extra-curricular activities, including
football, cookery club, golf, the school show, and rugby. We achieved great success in many of these
events.
Recognising Achievement: Throughout the year, we celebrated achievements in various areas,
including attendance, behaviour, academic performance, acts of kindness, and uniform. The friendly
competition for "Form Class of the Month" kept us motivated, and the 100% Attendance voucher
reward was a tasty incentive.
Year 11 has proven to be a talented group, and it's fantastic to see so many now recognized as
prefects. We're excited to see what the future holds.
