Happy with my Horse
The sun shines in and a new day begins,
All set for today’s shenanigans.
Bleary eyed I pull on my chaps,
Ready to go and trot some laps.
I hear my horse neigh,
And I know she needs hay -
This will fuel her for the day.
Tacking up, I open the gate,
She’s ready to go, she just can’t wait!
After the fun, the work must be done.
I lift the wheelbarrow, it weighs a ton,
As the sun has set,
I see her silhouette.
I pack up my things and sing her a song,
This is my happy place, it’s where I belong.

Do I Belong In The Lipstick Industry?
Why do I bother buying lipstick?
I’ve tried more pinks and browns,
And more glosses than you can shake,
A sponge tipped stick at.
I continue to labour under the conviction,
That there is a shade out there for me.
‘Slick red lipstick,’
I want it so badly.
But I’ve forgotten that I look like a
Plonker in lipstick,
And there it is –
Clown face.
So here I am again,
Finger poised over,
‘Add to basket’
Why do I bother buying lipstick?
