Seasonal Celebrations
In December 2024 our Seasonal Celebration of Carols and Readings met here in the Assembly Hall

                     – bringing the message of Christmas to all, via Music and Verse.

                     Spring Concert 2023

The Spring Concert 2024 brought the opportunity to perform live and pupils did not disappoint.
Performers ranged from Year 8 to Year 14, taking to the stage in solos, duets, or ensembles. The

choir continues to grow in number… what a way to express talent… and to get connected…
through a community of Music, Drama and Dance!

Through an emphasis on enrichment and extra-curricular outside the classroom pupils were
focused within the classroom, their purpose was exam centred with the view to achieving their

best. As my staff and parent body, I thank you all for your continued dedication in supporting the
culture of learning and ethos of open communication to…. as our motto says, ‘preparing for life’ as

each prepare for significant achievements and examination milestones. Charity featured
throughout the school year with fund raisers taking place for Air Ambulance NI, Children in Need.

There are many items, successes and achievements to which I have not made mention but are

included in The Bellfort Magazine which can be perused at your leisure.

As I begin to draw this report to a close, I want to finish by saying that both the Board of
Governors, and I, along with my Strategic Leadership Team and the wider staff continue focusing

our efforts for the future of Dunclug College… through meeting the curricular needs of our
enrolment, by pursuing excellence in the quality of teaching and learning supported by strong

pastoral care, extra-curricular activities, enrichment programmes, and community involvement
including pursuit of the ‘New Build’.

Work continues to make progress. The new Dunclug College will remain a key focal point within
this shared site and aims to enhance provisions alongside the existing Dunclug Primary and

Nursery Schools. This will build on the embedded school ethos of sharing and preparing for life.

Both, I and the Governors, will continue to ensure the new build will be designed from the inside
out, with pupils as the beating heart to optimise learning and prepare for life!
