In the Gospel of Matthew 6:34 we read ‘Therefore do not
worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.’
This verse encapsulates the call to act in the living present,
emphasising that our primary focus and responsibility lies in
fully engaging with the experiences - the moments - that fill
the current day.
The essence of life is discovered not in reaching milestones,
but in embracing the moments that fill our days. These daily
moments - be they exhilarating, challenging, or truly
momentous - are the essential building blocks of our
existence. Individually, they are fleeting; collectively, they
form the rich tapestry of our history and actively determine
the trajectory of our future.
Highlights of the School Year include, ‘International Rugby Player, Luke Marshall as our guest
speaker at Prize Giving’, our excellent production of ‘Les Misérables’ with outstanding
performances by a dedicated cast, our ‘House Colours Day’, regular ‘Sporting Achievements’ in
football, netball and rugby, pupils travelling to ‘Austria to ski on the fantastic pistes, to
experience the pretty alpine villages and the world's best apres ski..’, a trip to ‘Charlie and the
Chocolate Factory’ at the Riverside Theatre, ‘Shared Education Visits’, the ‘Many Enrichments
and Competitions’ not forgetting the life skills developed through the ‘Duke of Edinburgh
Expeditions’, the ‘Successful Sports Day’ and an excellent end of year ‘Exam Series’! Pupils were
focused, their purpose was exam centred with the view to achieving their best. As my staff, I
thank you all for your continued dedication in preparing pupils for these significant achievements
and examination milestones.
I enjoyed the opportunity to speak with Year Groups weekly/fortnightly, face-to-face in assembly,
I’m sure my staff feel the same where we continue to embed the ‘Take 5 Steps to Well-Being’,
promoting the attributes of ‘Connecting, Being Active, Taking Notice, Keep Learning and Giving’,
which underpinned further our values of Positivity, Respect, Aiming High, and Kindness.
I eagerly look forward to September 2025, returning to the regular rhythm of school life to
strengthen our vision, ethos, and culture while sharing in pupil celebration and success. This year,
a key priority is the launch of ‘Being Well, Doing Well’. Led by dedicated staff, this program is a
comprehensive Whole School Approach to Emotional Health and Wellbeing, designed with the
goal of improving outcomes for our entire school community.
To all who are moving on, we send our heartfelt prayers for your journey. May you achieve every
goal, find true happiness, and lead a life of fulfilment that inspires and brings enjoyment to others.
Please know we will watch your future unfold with genuine interest and immense pride.
Enjoy the content within ISSUE 14 of the BELLFORT MAGAZINE and a massive thankyou to all who
have contributed including our pupils, parents, staff, community, local business, and friends.
Together, ‘embrace the moments’ and let’s look forward to September 2025…
God Bless!
