Year 10 have had an incredibly successful and rewarding year, filled with achievements, teamwork
and fun. We started the year with a series of exciting form competitions; from form board challenges
to activities supporting our well-being and attendance. These helped set a positive tone for the year
                    ahead.

Before the Christmas break, we celebrated with a fantastic day of festive fun. Highlights included a
whole-year quiz that tested our knowledge and teamwork, followed by a fabulous disco where
                    everyone joined in the celebrations.

As the new year began, it was time to focus on the important step of choosing our GCSE subjects.
With the guidance of form teachers, heads of year, and senior staff, every pupil was supported in
making the best choices for their future.

Sporting success was also a huge part of our year. Elijah Browne achieved the incredible honour of
being selected for the Scottish Ice Hockey 2011 squad, travelling to Belgium to represent his sport.
Meanwhile, Wyatt Smyth proudly represented Dunclug at the Ulster Schools Swimming Association
Championships. Many pupils also took on the challenge of the Duke of Edinburgh Award, with
several qualifying for their Bronze award.

The arts thrived in Year 10 too, with large numbers of pupils taking part in the annual school show,
as well as contributing their talents to the school choir and chamber choir.

Overall, Year 10 have shown what it means to live school life to the fullest – through hard work, fun,
and achievement. A huge well done to everyone on making this year such a success!
