Key Stage 3 Artists enjoyed a busy and creative year, inspired by
Artists such as Henri Rousseau, James Rizzi, Jason Scarpace and Vincent
Van Gogh...to name only a few!
We also researched Aboriginal and Native American History, Art and
Culture, creating our own imaginative pieces inspired by our learning.
Our GCSE students enjoyed a visit to the Braid and were treated to a
Workshop led by local Experimental Textile Artist, Wilma Kirkpatrick.
Wilma kindly visited school later in the term to deliver a collaborative
Art piece which our students had created with her. Returning to school
inspired, they developed their skills in painting, sculpture, mixed-
media, collage, fashion design and experimental textiles. A thoroughly
worthwhile event for all involved!
A-Level students enjoyed the freedom to experiment, explore and
develop their individual skills as Artists.
Professional Artists made contact with each student to share advice,
tips and encouragement.
