In June pupils from Years 8, 9 and 10 enjoyed a four-day cultural trip to Barcelona. On arriving we
had a guided tour of the city. This was a wonderful experience to see and learn about the history
of the main sites in Barcelona including La Sagrada Familia.

Our hotel had a swimming pool and entertainment. We also enjoyed a short walk to the beach
most evenings. We had the opportunity to sample some Spanish food including churros for
breakfast at the amazing buffet.

Over the next few days we visited RCD Espanyol Stadium, marvelled at the views from Montserrat
and had fun on the many rides in Port Aventura. We also visited the Picasso Museum and had a
relaxing boat trip around Barcelona port. The aquarium was very interesting. We saw many
species of marine life and bought some great souvenirs here.

This was a very successful and enjoyable trip. We had a great time learning about the lifestyle,
cultures and traditions of this amazing city. This was an unforgettable trip which will have lasting
memories for us all.
